So without further ado, let’s start with the first product in our list:
Philips SHS390 On-Ear Stereo Headphone
First up, we have a pair of headphones. At Rs.463, the SHS390 from Philips provide sound that’s clear and well balanced. The fit is quite good and so is the build quality. Overall, the SHS390 is a good performing pair of headphones in all aspects, for the price.
Dragon War Emera ELE-G11 Gaming Mouse
At the second spot we have the Emera gaming mouse from Dragonwar. With two extra buttons to the left, and a dedicated DPI switch that lets you change between four settings ranging from 800 to 3200. This one beats a regular mouse by quite a margin. The nylon braided wire feels sturdy, and even the USB connector is rigid. Price varies for the colour options a fair but you’d always find one around the Rs.400 mark.
Dragonwar GP-001 Gaming Mouse Mat – Speed Edition
At Rs.400, there’s nothing else that beats this mouse mat and to top it up it is also from same manufacturer that made our mouse! At 260×340 mm, it is sufficiently large for most usage scenarios including gaming. The top surface is quite smooth – even resting your wrist on it feels good. The rubber base helps prevent sliding, overall an excellent buy for around Rs.400.
Wayona WYN 12 150Mbps Wireless Mini USB Wifi Adapter
If you wanna stream video or browse the web on your desktop PC, and don’t have an ethernet connection, this Wifi USB adapter from Wayona comes in handy. It supports speed of up to 150 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, and is backwards compatible with b & g networks. Encryption standards like WPA2 and WEP are all in place.
CSR Bluetooth 4.0 Ultra-Mini USB Dongle
Talking about adapters, the next on the list is a bluetooth adapter from CSR. Supports Bluetooth Low Energy and is compatible with all versions of Windows starting from 98. Just like the Wifi adapter, this one is a plug and play device too. Works flawlessly! It takes just under a minute to transfer a 10mb file.
Portronics Car Power 2 3-USB charger
At the sixth spot in the list we have a car charger from Portronics. The USP of this is the fact that you can charge four devices at the same time, thanks to the 3 ports and a built-in microUSB cable. It is a 4.8 Amps charger, one port can output a maximum of 2.4 amps, and the other two can output 1.2 amps each. It is a quite compact, and has got a LED indicator that glows when charging.
YT Mobile Phone Metal Stand
Next up is a metal stand for your smartphone. It is very strong and rugged. Also, It can even be used as a dock for charging and data transfer. It can hold 8″ tablet easily, even in portrait orientation. But I don’t recommend mounting anything larger than that – the stand might loose balance.
Mystical Master Selfie Stick with Wire/Aux Cable
For the last item in the list we have the Mystical Master Selfie Stick that extends upto 75 cm which is long enough. There is an aux cable that plugs into your phone’s headphone jack and a button you can press to activate the shutter remotely. Quite a nifty little feature and one we find useful during our time spent with this Rs.349 device.
And that wraps up the list of budget tech gadgets! Hope you guys have as much fun using them as we did testing them out.
